Little Women Book Design
This project consisted of creating a front and back cover design, as well as fully laying out the text, for the classic novel Little Women. I wanted a modern style for the covers and inside spreads, leading me to use vector illustration layered with photographic texture, as well as san serifed text. One of my favorite parts of the design was using the ribbons, which are motifs in the book, as motifs for the design. They are featured on the covers, and a single ribbon is seen on each chapter opening page. As the book continues and the characters grow up, the ribbon grows longer and reaches the bottom of the page.
